Studi Eksperimental Penggunaan Kertas Pres dalam Isolasi Transformator

Abstract

One of the critical elements in a transformer is the isolation system, which aims to prevent leakage current and other disturbances. Transformer isolation with press paper is one of the insulation used as insulation material in power transformers. A transformer is an electromagnetic device used to transfer electrical energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction. This research is done by conducting laboratory tests on pressure paper samples to measure dielectric strength, tensile strength, and other characteristics. The results obtained through experimental testing conducted for 6 tests with dry or soaked conditions, soaking conditions are better than dry press paper conditions. Where the value of the penetrating voltage produced when dry is 6.7 kV smaller than the immersed condition of 22.82 kV.
