Abstract
Biomass is a renewable energy source that has the potential to be used as a new source of energy. Gasification technology is a process of converting biomass into gas (syngas) that meets fuel specifications. The syngas produced by biomass gasification has yet to be extensively employed as a dual-fuel syngas-diesel fuel. Gasification technology, de-rating, gas quality, syngas cleaning techniques, and the impact of tar content on engine internals are some of the connected issues. As a result, the goal of this study is to undertake a thorough examination of the biomass used, gasification technology, syngas quality, syngas cleaning processes, emissions, and particles. A systematic review was employed as the research method. According to the paper review, syngas-diesel can minimize fuel consumption, downdraft reactors are appropriate for small and medium-scale gasification, and beginning biomass can boost its calorific value. Additionally, gasification and tar cleaning can be integrated within the reactor. CO2 gas emissions are increased by diesel and the internal engine's use of dual-fuel syngas-diesel.
