Abstract

Solar energy is a potent source of power for the future and highly environmentally friendly. This energy can be directly converted into electrical energy through the use of solar panels. However, the efficiency of solar panels may decrease when they are shaded. This study aims to examine the impact of changes in shading on the output power of solar panels. The research method employed is a quantitative experiment, with shading variations set at 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75%, while the solar panels are tilted at an angle of 36.7 degrees. The results of linear regression analysis reveal an R value of 0.99, indicating a very strong correlation among these variables. The R-squared value reaches 0.9978 or 99.78%, signifying that approximately 99.78% of the reduction in output power is influenced by changes in shading, while the remaining 0.22% is affected by other factors. The obtained standard error of regression is 0.00333, indicating high accuracy.
