Abstract
The challenge in designing an access network based on Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is in determining the power allocation factor for users. Overall, the performance of the system is greatly influenced by the power allocation factor for NOMA users. NOMA allocates different power to each user according to their channel conditions, users with the best channel conditions are allocated less power, and users with the worst channel conditions are allocated more power. This study will evaluate the performance of the NOMA access network by considering the influence of imperfect SIC and dynamic power allocation on the NOMA channel capacity. Evaluation based on the test parameters, namely channel capacity, shows that the total NOMA user capacity on imperfect SIC with fixed power allocation and dynamic power allocation is better than the total OMA user capacity. The total NOMA user capacity with dynamic power allocation is better than fixed power allocation.
