Abstract

The quality of electrical power is a critical parameter in the electrical system that influences the reliability and performance of electrical equipment. In an environment increasingly dependent on electronic devices and advanced technology, optimal power quality becomes crucial. However, this aspect is often overlooked. This research aims to analyze the power quality in Building B of the Faculty of Electrical and Renewable Energy - IT PLN. The study supports efforts to enhance understanding and technology in maintaining stable and reliable power quality, essential for an efficient and safe electrical system. Damage and reduced lifespan of electronic and electrical equipment in a building can be caused by inadequate electrical power quality. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the overall reliability of power distribution in a building, for both communal and governmental interests. This aims to ensure that activities requiring high precision, such as laboratory work, can be carried out with protection and security during operations. Among various disturbances related to power quality, voltage dips become a significant aspect. Research results indicate that protection against voltage dip disturbances is crucial for maintaining the quality of power supply, especially for sensitive loads like electronic devices and electric motor controls.
