Bimbingan Teknik Sertifikasi Uji Kompetensi Bidang Pembangkit dan Distribusi Kepada Guru SMKN 2 Bogor

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The quality of education in Indonesia is an important issue that is of concern to many parties, especially related to the gap in the quality of teaching and facilities between urban and rural areas. Vocational High Schools (SMK) have a strategic role in preparing graduates for the workforce, but many graduates are not ready to compete due to the uneven quality of teachers. In this context, competency certification for teaching staff is very crucial, especially in the electricity sector. This community service program (PKM) is entitled "Technical Guidance and Competency Test Certification in the Power Generation and Distribution Sector for SMK Teachers in Bogor City". The purpose of this program is to provide technical training and guidance to SMK teachers, especially at SMK Negeri 2 Bogor City, in order to improve their knowledge and practical skills in the field of power distribution and generation. This research method includes several stages, starting from preparation, data collection, implementation of activities, to evaluation and publication of results. By involving collaboration between the PLN Institute of Technology and SMK Negeri 2 Bogor City, this program is expected to improve the competence of teaching staff and contribute positively to the quality of education in Indonesia. Indicators of success include smooth technical guidance and certification tests, as well as achieving the target of 100% of participants passing the competency and receiving a certificate from the Director General of Electricity.

ABSTRAK

Kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia merupakan isu penting yang menjadi perhatian banyak pihak, terutama terkait kesenjangan dalam kualitas pengajaran dan fasilitas antara daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memiliki peran strategis dalam menyiapkan lulusan untuk dunia kerja, namun banyak lulusan yang belum siap bersaing akibat ketidakmerataan kualitas pengajar. Dalam konteks ini, sertifikasi kompetensi bagi tenaga pengajar menjadi sangat krusial, terutama di bidang ketenagalistrikan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini berjudul “Bimbingan Teknik dan Sertifikasi Uji Kompetensi Bidang Pembangkit dan Distribusi kepada Guru SMK di Kota Bogor”. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan dan bimbingan teknik kepada guru SMK, khususnya di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bogor, guna meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis mereka dalam bidang distribusi dan pembangkit tenaga listrik. Metode penelitian ini mencakup beberapa tahap, mulai dari persiapan, pengumpulan data, pelaksanaan kegiatan, hingga evaluasi dan publikasi hasil. Dengan melibatkan kolaborasi antara Institut Teknologi PLN dan SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bogor, program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga pengajar dan berkontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Indikator keberhasilan meliputi kelancaran bimbingan teknik dan uji sertifikasi, serta pencapaian target 100% peserta yang lulus kompetensi dan mendapatkan sertifikat dari Dirjen Ketenagalistrikan.
