Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to obtain English exam standards for new students using the data-driven decision making (DDDM) method. The research method used is quantitative descriptive technique and documentation technique. The data consisted of 20 answer sheets of 1st year students of Informatics Engineering study program. The data were analysed using validity and reliability formulas in python. As a result, validity provides in 19 valid questions and 31 invalid questions. In the calculation of Reliability, reliable results were obtained (0.8641). The conclusion of this research is that the DDDM method can be used to calculate the feasibility level of questions so that it can provide input on the development of standardization of exam questions, especially for the field of English. Future research should be conducted with larger data and in several locations with different levels of knowledge of participants, so that the standard of eligibility of questions, especially the validity and reliability parts can also be more accurate. The use of different algorithms or calculation models is also recommended so that it can provide benefits to the development of this field.
