Abstract
Indonesia is a tropical region that has two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. This condition requires farmers to be able to manage water for irrigation as well as possible in order to increase the productivity of their land. Especially on land that does not have a good water source, such as a DAM or dam. In some regions, such as eastern Indonesia, for example, it tends to have hot temperatures. There is still a lot of land in this area that does not have a good irrigation system from dams, so it still needs a good and modern irrigation system. Irrigation technology that is quite good and efficient is the drip irrigation system and the sprinkler irrigation system. This irrigation system is generally used on closed land or greenhouses. Smart grid technology enables the collection, processing, sharing, visualisation, archiving, and search of large amounts of data. Smart grid technology is very suitable for collecting large amounts of data collected by sensors that can be processed, analysed, and stored using the computing and data storage resources of the grid. Smart grids can also be efficiently shared by different users and applications under flexible usage scenarios. The goal of the technology is to make it possible to build large-scale infrastructure, integrating heterogeneous sensors, data, and computing resources deployed over large areas, to perform complex surveillance tasks such as environmental monitoring.
