Abstract

ABSTRACT

As an attempt to control corrosion on the Jetty structure, the Company uses a cathodic protection system where the main strength is in the form of steel pipe piles with protection in the splash zone in the form of wrapping 3 layers of PE and Concrete. The Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) method is used in the protection planning of the PT Sulfindo Adiusaha Jetty as a corrosion control material for the piles. The required data analysis in cathodic protection planning is in the form of potential measurement results from before and after installation. The potential measurement is assisted by a measuring instrument called Flux meter with Ag/AgCl electrode. According to the NACE standard, after the installation of the sacrificial anode in cathodic protection, the potential of the sacrificial anode that has been installed on the steel pipe can be measured, at a minimum of - 800 mV or -0.8 V (NACE SP0176-2007).
