Abstract
In the current era of digitalization, the use of digital technology is increasingly common among small businesses. Websites are top-rated among the various digital technologies adopted by small businesses. Websites serve as a means to expand market reach and increase sales. However, just relying on a website is not enough to ensure the success of a small business. In addition, effective inventory management of goods or stock is crucial to maintain business stability. This research aims to develop an information system design that combines the single exponential smoothing algorithm to forecast stock demand. By integrating sales and inventory stock management features into one web platform, small businesses can more easily and accurately monitor and manage various aspects of their business. This system can help small businesses handle business operations such as serving sales transactions, managing products, and predicting stock needs. The results of this research obtained a design for an information system for forecasting stock, with the accuracy of applying the single exponential smoothing algorithm to predict stock in MAPE testing being 20.6%.
